The entrepreneur behind the brand
Hello, my name is Audrey-Anne Amnotte. I am the founder and designer of Boutique AmNot.
Twelve years ago, as a little girl, I dreamed of one day owning my clothing brand. I started sewing at the age of 8, to learn the business side of fashion, I worked in retail since the age of 16. Determined to fulfill my little girl dream, I started an entrepreneurial program at HEC Montreal. It was a bumpy start. When I started my studies, I learned about the presence of a tumor on my thyroid gland. Nonetheless, I continued my studies, resigned from my job and started the business that I dreamed of since my childhood. Today, I graduated from HEC Montreal in entrepreneurship and information technologies, but mostly I am proud to reach my ambitions by completing my first year of operation.
To succeed in this project, I surrounded myself with François Poirier, former entrepreneur and coordinator of the Rémi-Marcoux Entrepreneurial program at HEC Montreal, and Émile Kambele, former sustainable fashion entrepreneur winner of the TFI Emerging designer award and semi-finalist at McGill Dobson Cup in 2017 Thanks to the strong support of my family and loved ones and to my determination, I went from an idea to samples, through production capabilities, to ephemeral store events to raise awareness and grow the project.
